While traveling, it's great to have a free or inexpensive place to stop for the night. Many casino's not only allow RV overnight parking, they also encourage RV'ers to spend the night with them.

Located in the small town of Marburg and just 21km from Ipswich, the Marburg Showgrounds provide a quiet stop over for travelers at budget rates.

The showgrounds offer level grassy powered and unpowered sites suitable for large rigs as well as Caravans, Motorhomes, camper vans, camper trailers and tents. The upgraded amenities block has toilets and hot showers and are kept very clean and tidy. The showgrounds themselves are well maintained and provide very pleasant surroundings. Showgrounds
There is a market day each Friday in the main street and given that the Lockyer Valley is Vegetable HQ in south-east Queensland, you can expect some mighty fine quality fresh veges to stock up with.
Plenty to do in the district with attractions such as Pioneer Historic Village just a short distance away in town, corner of Drayton and Milne Streets.
Have a morning tea at Das Neumann Hause and have a look through the beautiful house of time gone by.
Enjoy a scenic drive to the south of town along Mulgowie Road up the Laidley Creek Valley to the districts of Mulgowie and Thornton. Lake Dyer (Bill Gunn Dam) is a couple of km on the east side of the township.
